The SB900 continues to be the workhorse of the nut industry. It is the only moisture tester on the market capable of testing Almonds, Pecans, Cashews and several other varieties of nuts while still in the shell. It is used almost exclusively in the Almond Industry. Did you know that the U.S.A. is the world’s leading producer of edible nuts? That is why the SB900 continues to be such a valuable asset to this industry.

 

The SB900 utilizes Three Different Funnels to obtain optimum results:

  1. The Regular Funnel – included with every purchase
  2. The Nut Funnel – refer to Calibration List to see which calibrations require this
  3. The Compressor Block and Funnel – refer to Calibration List to see which calibrations require this

 

The SB900 has the ability to be connected to a ticket printer:

  1. CP103 Thermal Printer
  2. MP20 Thermal Label Printer (OBSOLETE)
  3. Both require an RS232 NULL Modem Cable supplied by Steinlite
  4. NUPRINT 310 Printer

The M2 Mill has gone through some changes over the last 3 years. We have done this to maintain a competitive price and still be able to offer a one of a kind Grinder/Extractor that is durable and effective.

  1. The Motor has been upgraded to a 1/2HP motor Capable of turning out up to 17,000 RPMs.
  2. The grinding blade has been re-designed using Hardened Tool Steel, now with cutting edges on all sides. This allows users to simply flip blade over after normal wear to continue using.
  3. Updated Digital Timer, removing external Start/Stop Button. This means less parts, less potential for problems.

New Shipping Container; Gone are the Treated Wood Crates that weighed a ton. Now shipped in Heavy Weight Cardboard w/ Foam shipping inserts.

The SL95 is NTEP Approved for commercial use. Still the fastest NTEP Approved Moisture tester on the market; returning a result in under 8 seconds. Easy to use, reliable, and durable. The SL95 adheres to the same standards as other NTEP/UGMA moisture testers on the market; however, it comes at a better price point. Things to look forward to this year for the SL95:

  1. New Commodity Calibrations, including HEMP Seed
  2. Refreshed Look w/ new Outer Color Update
  3. Updated LCD Display, Brighter with more contrast easier to read
  4. All available calibrations now loaded at factory, 100+
  5. Re-Designed Shipping Box; we did away with the poly-strapping/buckle and foam. Now consists of a box and two foam inserts. Again, SIMPLE.

FREQUENTLY ASKED TROUBLE SHOOTING QUESTIONS

  1. CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE CELL DOOR IS COMPLETELY CLOSED
  2. IF THE CELL DOOR IS CLOSED THE MACHINE NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO STEINLITE FOR REPAIR
  1. MAKE SURE NOTHING IS STUCK IN THE CELL
  2. IF THE EMPTY MACHINE NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO STEINLITE FOR REPAIR
  1. BE SURE THAT THE AUX MODULE IS COMPLETELY PUSHED INTO THE SOCKET, YOU SHOULD HEAR A SUBTLE ‘CLICK’ WHEN IT IS SEATED FULLY
  2. ARE YOU SURE THAT THE MODULE HAS THAT CALIBRATION LOADED?
  3. YOU CAN ALSO CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE KEYPAD CABLE IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY
  4. IF ALL OF THESE ARE IN PROPER WORKING ORDER THEN THE MACHINE NEEDS TO RETURNED TO STEINLITE FOR REPAIR
  1. MACHINE NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO STEINLITE, THIS IS A BOARD ISSUE TYPICALLY AND NEEDS ADDITIONAL REPAIR IMMEDIATELY
  1. CHECK THE FUSE IN THE FUSE HOLDER WHERE THE POWER CORD PLUGS INTO MACHINE
  2. WE SUGGEST REPLACING THE FUSE EVEN IF YOU BELIEVE IT TO BE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER
  3. IF THIS DOESN’T SOLVE THE PROBLEM THEN THE MACHINE NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO STEINLITE
  1. MOST LIKELY THE CLEAR SENSOR ‘EYES’ ARE DIRTY; TURN POWER OFF, REMOVE THE BLACK BEZEL FROM THE TOP OF THE MACHINE AND BLOW COMPRESSED AIR ON THE UNDERSIDE OF BEZEL; REPLACE BEZEL TURN ON MACHINE
  2. IF THE MESSAGE PERSISTS THEN IT’S POSSIBLE THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE WIRING OR THE TWO WIRE LEADS ON ONE OF THE SENSORS ARE TOUCHING. YOU CAN USE A CREDIT CARD TO SEPERATE THEM IF YOU FIND THIS TO BE THE CASE
  3. IF THIS STILL DOESN’T CLEAR THE ERROR THEN SEND THE MACHINE BACK TO STEINLITE
  1. TRY CLEARING MESSAGE BY TURNING MACHINE OFF AND ON.
  2. IF THIS WORKS YOU CAN STILL USE THE MACHINE BUT IT REALLY SHOULD BE SENT BACK TO STEINLITE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
  1. TRY TURNING POWER OFF THEN ON
  2. IF THIS WORKS YOU CAN STILL USE THE MACHINE BUT RETURN IT TO STEINLITE FOR SERVICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
  1. THESE ARE USUALLY GOOD INDICATORS OF A MOUSE HAVING LIVED INSIDE YOUR MACHINE AND NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO STEINLITE FOR REPAIR.
  1. WE RECENTLY REDESIGNED THIS BLADE AND NO IT DOES NOT MATTER WHICH WAY YOU MOUNT THE BLADE
  2. IN FACT, WHEN ONE SIDE DULLS YOU MAY FLIP THE BLADE OVER TO CONTINUE TO USE.
